Nuru is an online directory and communication platform that connects clients with verified professionals for practical work. Nuru is not a payment processor, employer, staffing agency, or party to any contract between a client and a professional.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Nuru. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.
Professionals who apply for the verified badge must submit a government-issued ID and/or university degree or relevant qualification for manual review. Submitting fraudulent documents will result in permanent account termination. Verification does not constitute an endorsement by Nuru of a professional’s skills, work quality, or fitness for a specific job.
Nuru does not process, hold, or transfer money between users. All financial transactions are conducted directly between clients and professionals using third-party services (such as Sendwave, Remitly, or bank transfers).

Nuru accepts no responsibility or liability for any financial dispute, loss, or fraud arising from off-platform transactions.
You may not:
Reviews must be based on a genuine interaction with the reviewed party. Fake reviews — including reviews created by a professional using a second account — will result in permanent banning. Nuru reserves the right to remove any review that violates these terms.
Nuru reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any account for violating these terms, including but not limited to: fraud, scamming, uploading false verification documents, harassment, or any conduct that harms the safety or integrity of the platform. Banning decisions are final.
Nuru is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or reliability of any professional’s work. Use of the platform is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nuru shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including financial losses resulting from off-platform transactions.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
